Training

¥ NEW. Our entire team received COVID-19 specialized training from Turismo de Portugal, with the latest hygiene and health standards.

¥ NEW. Our entire team uses appropriate COVID-19 protective equipment to carry out their duties.

¥ NEW. We respect work and social distance.

¥ NEW. The health of our team is monitored daily.

In accordance with the guidelines of national and international health and tourism entities, thinking of your well-being, our team and their families, which are all extremely important to us, Amália Studios decided to adapt its services and cleaning processes regarding COVID-19 to provide you with an experience of comfort and safety.

With that in mind, we ask that you carefully read the following information, as it complements our Terms and Conditions and in some common points, prevails over them. Contact us if you have any questions.

Cleaning and disinfection

¥ NEW. To ensure the maximum safety to our cleaning team and our guests as well as enough time for correct cleaning and disinfection, we have new check-out times. At 10am, instead of the usual 12pm. We also guarantee a 24 hours break between exits and new entrances, therefore there are no entrances and exits on the same day.

¥ NEW. Before cleaning starts, all windows will be opened for air circulation longer than the normal time.

¥ All surfaces are disinfected with products based on bleach, alcohol or other disinfectant product suitable for the surface in question, paying special attention to areas of frequent touch such as kitchen counter and bathroom, door handles, switches, controls TV, keys, etc.

¥ All of our mattresses and bed pillows have a waterproof cover that is changed with each guest.

¥ All sheets and towels are washed at 60ºC.

¥ Curtains, sofas and other fabric items are disinfected with a fabric-specific disinfectant spray.

¥ NEW. The building's stairs are cleaned twice a day and all handrails, handles, access doors, buttons and more are disinfected.

Keyless Check-In and Check-Out

Our check-in and check-out process has been done with a code system for a long time, which represents more than ever a safeguard for you, who want to avoid social contact. However, our team is always available to clarify any doubts or questions you may have and to accompany you in whatever is necessary.

Preparing your stay

¥ We advise you to purchase Travel Insurance to cover the possible need to change your reservation, for reasons of force majeure and beyond your control, such as adverse events announced by national and international health authorities.

¥ NEW. Must bring a mask. In Portugal, all closed public places require the use of a mask, as well as on the stairs of our buildings.

¥ NEW. If you don't have a mask, you can purchase one with us. Price is 3 € / mask.

¥ We recommend that you bring comfortable shoes to wear inside the accommodation to avoid entering the shoes you used on the street.

¥ NEW. Because it is necessary to report all suspicious cases to the authorities, it is mandatory that you have a working phone in Portugal. In case of suspicion, we have an active protocol and we will be here to help you in whatever way possible.

¥ NEW. We recommend that you observe the following basic precautions for prevention and infection control in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak:

Anexo-I---Recomendações-gerais-Covid-19.

Check in

¥ Most of our accommodations already have entrance with codes, so you can enter your accommodation comfortably, avoiding social contact. However, we are always available to assist you with whatever you need. For accommodations that do not have, we will continue to check in in person, with the necessary adaptations.

¥ For both cases, please indicate your arrival time until the previous day and keep us informed in case of changes.

¥ NEW. For face-to-face check-in, handshakes or other compliments with physical contact are not allowed and the use of a mask is mandatory.

¥ For both cases, the registration of guests must be done in advance by filling in the form sent for that purpose. Contact us if you do not receive it by the day before your arrival.

¥ Our General Terms and Conditions are sent by email and can also be found in the guest's file, in all accommodations. Please read them carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

During your stay

¥ NEW. All our accommodations have alcohol gel and soap available. Please follow the instructions we leave in the accommodation for proper hand washing and cleaning with alcohol gel.

¥ NEW. We remove carpets, cushions and other decorative items. We understand that these items make homes more welcoming, but they are also points of contagion and difficult to disinfect.

¥ Our accommodations are cleaned and disinfected according to the recommendations of Turismo de Portugal and the General Directorate of Health. During your stay please keep the space clean and safe for your family.

¥ NEW. If there is any situation for which you need our assistance inside the accommodation, we send a member of our team, with your authorization. During the period of stay inside the accommodation, all persons (staff and guests) must wear a mask.

¥ Consider leaving at least 1 window open for air circulation while you are in the accommodation. Never leave it open when you leave the accommodation.

¥ NEW. On the stairs, it is mandatory to wear a mask. Keep social distance.

¥ Consider taking off your street shoes when you enter the accommodation and use only exclusive footwear for the interior.

¥ For stays longer than a week but less than a month, we are not doing the usual mid-cleaning. Alternatively, we leave extra towels and bed linen so that the guest can change it every week. We ask that the dirty laundry be placed in closed bags, which we provide, and placed outside the accommodation, at a time to be arranged, for our cleaning team to collect. We also leave cleaning products and equipment for the guest to be able to clean the accommodation during their stay.

¥ For stays longer than one month, we clean and disinfect the accommodation every two weeks. Cleaning must be scheduled for a period when guests are not in the accommodation, so that it can be done with the necessary care and distance. We ask that guests leave the windows open so that the space is airy when the cleaning team arrives and if bed linen and towels are provided by us, be in closed bags to take them to the laundry. Between the departure of the guests and the entrance of the cleaning team, there must be a minimum of 2 hours interval and between 4 and 6 hours for cleaning and disinfection of the accommodation.
